PRIVACY

This website belongs to the arts-based research project AUDIO GHOSTS. It is designed to collect as little about its visitors as possible.

Visiting the website

When you open a page, your browser sends the usual technical data to our web server: IP address, date and time, the address of the page, the address of the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. The hosting provider stores this in server log files to deliver the site and keep it secure.

  • Purpose: running the website, finding errors, preventing misuse.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in a secure and working website.
  • Storage: up to 12 months, according to the hosting provider; then the log files are deleted.
  • Hosting provider: Globalhost d.o.o., Kralja Tvrtka 42, 72290 Novi Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The servers are in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

No tracking, no third parties

The website uses no analytics, no advertising and no social media plug-ins. Fonts, pictures, sound and video are all served from our own server, so opening a page sends no data to other companies.

Cookies and storage in your browser

The public pages set no cookies.

The media player remembers the waveform it has drawn for each recording you play, in your browser's local storage, so the picture is there again next time. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings (site data).

The editing area of the website (/admin/) sets two cookies that are strictly necessary for logging in: one keeps the session, one protects the log-in form. They concern only the project's editors and end when the browser closes or on log-out.

Contact

You can write to us by e-mail. The contact form on this website opens your own e-mail program; the website itself receives nothing. We use your message and address only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when your enquiry concerns an agreement with us) and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Newsletter

The newsletter is in preparation. Until it starts, this website collects no e-mail addresses. This page will be updated before it does.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To use these rights, write to the e-mail address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
